CoinsDaleth had many kinds of coins and currencies, and it drove every one crazy. Beyond every border, or city wall, or castle door, the value of a coin changed. Each self-named Important Person had his/her own coin, with his/her name and portrait on it, made in his/her own Mint. Most of those coins werent accepted in other places and the silver and gold were melted to make new coins. Many a coin didnt even have proper valuable metals in it!
During the first years United Empires, all silver and gold became the rightful property of the Emperor. He used this, and some other metals, to make one coinage for all his lands. To this day, this coinage is the standard for the whole of Daleth.
Imperial coinageGold coins:
All gold coins are round. On one side, the value of the coin is written, on the other side are the year and the coat of arms of the city in which the coin is made (In Ildritz: the Emperor is portraited on the coin). Gold coins have a decoration on the edges.
Sometimes, the 1 Assar-pieces are split on the arms of the cross to make 2,5 kintus-pieces; not many coppermines are known, and if a country is at war with the owners of the coppermines, no real kintus can be made.
The above mentioned coins are made in Ildritz and are in use in De Erflanden and parts of Salamandran. One can pay with them in any other part of Daleth, but has to pay a little changing-fee.
In the parts of Daleth where other coins are made, the weight and quality of the metal is (should be) the same as those of the Imperial Coins. There are no gold coins other than the Imperial Skatts.

SwapsApart from coins, things can be bought by swapping objects. To make a successful swap, a witness should be watching the swap and checking the objects to be swapped. Unwitnessed swaps can lead to disagreements and corruption.
With a big swap, a written report of the swap is recommended.
