Wodan & the Wild Hunt, 2004
Another one for a contest. The mission was to draw line-art. I had the idea to do something with "malen nach zahlen" (draw according to numbers), maybe some Jugenstil stained-glass window with St. Christoffer, but eventually I made this window for a pagan temple, depicturing Wodan and the Wild Hunt.
For those who are not familiar with the myth: Wodan is a Nordic war-god. He gave one of his eyes to learn runes. His other eye is visible for all of us: it's the moon. He has a wild beard and a broad-rimmed hat, and he carries a spear. Ravens are always nearby. His cloak is the starry night sky. In autumn, the ones who died on the battle-fields form the Wild Hunt, that blazes through the cold evenings, following Wodan to Walhalla.
I got second place in the competition, by the way. |

LEGAL STUFF:
On this web site, I present a few pictures. Please do not hotlink to them, or any other of my pictures for that matter; the bandwidth on Portland is very limited. I have to pay for extra bandwidth, and if that is because you do hotlink, it is, in my eyes, not only stealing bandwidth from me, but also very real money. Appropriate measures will be taken against you in that case.
Needless to say, I hope, is that all pictures on these site are copyright protected. This means that you cant take them and publish them elsewhere without my permission. If you want to have permission, write to schlimazlnik@yahoo.co.uk before you publish the pictures.
