Mad Jack - Jenseits von Amsterdam, 2001
The picture that started it all... take some weird people, let one Dutchie tell "I'll take my AK47, go to the Scheveningen Pier and shoot all them pirates from the North Sea!", and the foreigners will drown you in the crazy stuff they know about Holland - enough to write a novel about, and so I did.
I kinda like the comic way I drew it in, it's chaotic and dirty and there is not much that could pass for serious art. I didn't spend more than an hour on it, I remember. Most of that time I needed to find a good picture of an AK47. |
