Where to eat

There are many places to eat. If one is invited to someone's house, a meal is always included. Food, ready to eat, can be bought on the roadside at farms, or on markets. Taverns, pubs and inns provide food too, be it simple and nothing much impressing. One doesn’t have to be hungry in Daleth.

For more delightful meals one can go to special (and more expensive) foodparlours. Here, one can taste the cultures of Daleth and the most exclusive things one can think of using the agricultural products of the land. Spices and herbs from far away are used to make the guest unforgettable meals. Drinks, alcoholic and not-alcoholic add to the special atmosphere of the foodparlours.
There are special foodparlours for some regions of Daleth, such as the Seaside Parlours (fish, salt, alga), the Taycha Parlours (Naglanifood) or Mountain Parlours (meat from wild animals, toadstools, herbs from the mountains). There can be experimental parlours too, but it is not recommended to go there, because you might be used as a guinea-pig for a totally new recipe with just discovered herbs; a famous way to murder someone in style...

Please notice that in very place to eat -except the private and most expensive ones- cutlery is not provided (food is served on plates or in cups, and drinks come in glasses, cups or tankards, and that’s it). Everybody has to take his/her own spoon, knife, fork and anything else wished for. This is a tradition, grown from hygienic habits. Travel-cutlery can be found in shops and markets in very sort and colour, ranging from wooden spoons to a complete 12 part-set of silver cutlery in a nicely cut wooden box...
