Anthastahts

Canyon in Anthastahts
A canyon in Anthastahts
according to the
description of
a drunken sailor

On the other side of the World Sea, far, far away, where the sun sets, another continent is found. It is never well explored and the knowledge we have comes from the sailors who went there. And as most of us will know, the sailors like a good deal of bedazzling drinks.

The rocky shore of Anthastahts has little beaches of sharp pebbles between cliffs of dark rocks that make it difficult to make a landfall. Direct behind the shore a wild wood grows. The trees and other plants -many of them of unknown sorts- grow close together and the wood can hardly be passed. Cold brooks and narrow clearings are some variety in the dark wood.
The coast is steep, and rises up to snow covered, barren mountains that form the backbone of the continent. Dark, eroded rocks peak towards the clouded skies.

There are no known people on this continent, our sailors never met anything human. Therefore, the sailors, whose hometown is Nest, claimed Anthastahts as belonging to Roverseiland.
However, there have been found traces of culture, strange paintings on the rocks, carvings that could be part of an ancient architecture.

The plants of Anthastahts are strange. Some bear fruits that can be eaten, and the sailor made a list of those. Others are poisonous. But all of them are strange, unknown.
So are the animals of Anthastahts. Birds and mammals are not like those of Daleth, although the sailors never gave a good description. They did give a description of large flying animals they called dragons.

But as said before, the sailors like bedazzling drinks, like fireberry wine, sometimes even Tuijon, and their tales may not be true. Some scientists even do think they made up Anthastahts, but other people have seen the land too, far away, on the horizon of the World Sea.
