Vegetables

Both urt and wikha grow throughout Daleth. These plants are grown in the gardens and not on the fields. Both are leguminous plants, and especcially the urt is very delicious. The wikha is used to feed the cattle, but some taverns serve wikha as a deliciousness and let you pay for it.

Ajuins, kalmus and krauts grow in fertile soils and most gardens. These groceries are very tasty and are used in many Dalethian recepies.

Berries

Kukjan - A delicious parasite on firtrees. They are brownish and very sticky. They taste like a combination of apples and honey and the hard cores have a fresh aftertaste. Kukjan ('to kiss' in Tuggs) is believed to be an aphrodisiac. It certainly can stick two persons together.
Amalbruns - a poisoned, blue coloured berry. Sudzi use the amalbruns in their rituals. The plant only grows on the shady southern bank of the Straums-river (Overveer).
Brunsbezi - bright red berry that can’t be eaten. It is used to brew a highly alcoholic liquor. This drink is very (in)famous all over Daleth.
Ulevels - small black fruit that hangs on uletrees in Salamandran. Some people love ulevels, others hate it, but it is always welcome after a few days of starvation.

Herbs

Caraway grows in every garden and is the herb that gives the dalethian bread its bittersweet taste. It is also used as a luck bringer at weddings, for a marriage has its bitternesses and its sweetnesses.
Hop is used in the beer-industry and gives the beer a special taste. It is the main export product from Skaunsric and several Naglaniclans use the picture of hop in their coat of arms.

Trees

Of course, the woods are used for many purposes: building houses, manifacturing tables, chairs, boxes; it is burnt to keep rooms warm. Cattle will eat the leaves, as far as the leaves are not needed as a fertilizer. The fruits are gathered and eaten by humans and animals alike.
The forests and woods are cut, but new trees are planted every year. The woods are important for hunting the animals of the wood, and the treeyards provide enough fruits for every city.

Other usefull plants

Lains and kemp are grown for their textile products. Lains is made into cloth, kemp into rope. Oil (not for consumption) is also a product from lains. Certain kempplants are used for burning in rooms that have “bad air” and smell aweful. Some say it smells even worse after burning kemp, but it definitely is a different smell.
Swamms (milithswamms, lofaswamms, banjaswamms) are delicious and good to eat, others, like the nadrsswamms contain a quickworking poison (but are delicious too, in the first place). The tandjanswamms can be burned and is used in tinderboxes. Swamms are not part of the true agriculture, but are found and gathered in the woods.
Brinnóswamms burns away reality an can cause bad dreams. It has some resemblance to the lofaswamms, which makes it a dangerous kind of swamms - people often get mistaken.
