Moorfly and Glassfly

The Moorfly and the Glassfly are close related. The Moorfly lives in the Swamp of Gamoor, the Glassfly on the banks of Kristalmeer. The insects have both 4 wings and can reach a length of a handspan. They are light enough to walk over the water.
The flies lay eggs in the mud during the aftersummer and prewinter. In newyear and presummer, when it is warm enough and the water has reached the eggs, the little flies are born out of the eggs as swimming worms. After their youth, at the end of presummer, they cling to reeds and other plants to transform into Moor- or Glassflies.
The Moorfly is greyish with purple and green spots, the Glassfly has more colours.
