Xinha

Friday 10 April 2009 22:38

This is the last post I write in Xinha. This so called WYSIWYG HTML editor manages to insert a bunch of non-breaking spaces into what I type for no apparent reason (I haven't tried if it also does that when I type something for an apparent reason ;-). Combined with using XHTML that doesn't get the   that behaviour results in that I'd rather type the HTML tags than manually remove the  s from the crap Xinha produces. Sure, Xinha is community based open source code so I could try to fix it, but I don't like the name and the BSD license, and it appears it's the immature fork of htmlArea. Maybe I can even just configure it to do what I want, but if it doesn't do the most sane stuff out of the box, it's broken and the developers probably aren't very sane either.
