Two weeks ago I went to the area of Valkenswaard, like Dom­me­len of Dom­melsch fame. Ba­si­cal­ly it's all grass, with some small patch­es of wood­land and be­tween the trees are open ar­eas with small lakes. In this time of the year those lakes are pop­u­lat­ed by noisy gulls. It's all pret­ty small scale in the di­men­sions of the Dom­mel creak, but that didn't pre­vent me from wan­der­ing into a swamp. If you re­al­ly try you can get ad­ven­ture in dutch na­ture, which is hard­ly larg­er than an av­er­age shop­ping mall...
