Due to work on lo­ca­tion in Delft I met al­lkui al­ready at the sta­tion in Delft. In the train to Rot­ter­dam al­lkui was har­rassed by the wag­ging tail of a big black dog. At Rot­ter­dam Cen­tral there was some con­fu­sion about whether the left exit was the right en­trance or not, but mic­wou found us even­tu­al­ly. A short walk lat­er and we were eat­ing sushi at Hap­py Sushi. And then it was time to go to Pathé to see A Let­ter to True.

So what was the movie like? It's like a weblog. Lots of dif­fer­ent bits and pieces, per­son­al events mixed with glob­al his­to­ry, rich and fa­mous, all put to­geth­er in a way that makes you won­der if there was a mean­ing or an al­leged mean­ing is just the re­sult of the idea that there must be a mean­ing. But there were a lot of cute dogs in the movie, so who cares?

And I'm still try­ing to re­mem­ber what movie I saw with al­lkui years ago at IFFR in Ca­lyp­so. I think the sub­ject was a bit nerdy, like about in­ter­net or com­put­ers...
