Sony KDL-40W2000. The line of com­mand went a lit­tle like this: I'm not buy­ing any Mi­crosoft crap any­more, so the PC as a gam­ing plat­form is no op­tion any­more and if we want a gam­ing plat­form it will be a con­sole. That con­sole won't be the XboX for ob­vi­ous rea­sons, so the PS3 comes into the pic­ture. It would be a waste to not hook a PS3 up to a full-HD dis­play, so in­stead of the EUR 600 PS3 the main is­sue be­comes a EUR 2500 full-HD Sony Bravia. And we need some HD con­tent, and GTAIV looks pret­ty nice. Con­clu­sion in the be­gin­ning of April 2007: Buy a KDL-40W2000 (which gets about EUR 100 cheap­er per month) + PS3 when GTAIV comes out in Oc­to­ber.

Begin­ning of Au­gust 2007 I watch CNN and hear GTAIV is de­layed un­til 2008. So for me there is no rea­son to get a Bravia + PS3 un­til 2008, and there's a good chance that when GTAIV gets re­leased there will be an even bet­ter Bravia and a bet­ter PS3...
