Drunense Duinen

Tuesday 8 August 2006 02:04

Last weekend the wind was going south, so I got on my bike and went with it. First crossing the Rhine (named Lek) between Schoonhoven and Gelkenes, then 45 minutes later crossing the Waal between Gorinchem and Woudrichem, then later crossing some Maas between Drongelen and Waalwijk (or the other way around if it's logical that Waalwijk is near the Waal?). About 50 kilometers to get to a bunch of sand called the Drunense Duinen. Because bike and sand don't go together that well I didn't get off-road but followed the canal to 's Hertogenbosch.
