I've been to the Jungfrau­joch by train in the win­ter, I've trav­elled from Oslo to Ber­gen by train in the win­ter, but some­how the dutch rail­ways can't han­dle a lit­tle bit of snow. As usu­al they are un­able to pro­vide any in­for­ma­tion about what is go­ing on, and their trains don't run while the RET sub­way and the AlpenEx­press all the way to Aus­tria do run. Even­tu­al­ly man­aged to get a train to The Hague and spend the night at J's. Of course there was a chance that I could have made it home, but there doesn't seem to be any­one re­spon­si­ble for man­ag­ing the in­for­ma­tion trav­ellers could base their de­sci­sions on. All NS say is "Thanks for your mon­ey, now fuck off!". And I'd ap­pre­ci­ate it more if they put that up on their signs in­stead of the ex­cuse that the weath­er­con­di­tions sud­den­ly have caused se­vere brain­dam­age by their man­agers...
