DPW 2009 Lightningtalk ====================== Thursday 26 March 2009 18:25 TIMTOWTDI At the Dutch Perl Workshop 2009 I did a lightningtalk about how I use Perl to scrobble the tracks I listen streaming from MediaTomb to my Playstation 3. So here should be the slides, but OpenOffice.org fails to export them in a usable way: * Export as a series of images so I can put them in a gallery on this site? No, OpenOffice.org doesn't provide a way to do that without making the user export every single slide individually. * Export to SWF? Then we loose the 50% transparent bitmaps and the footer. * Export to PDF? A bit better, but then we loose the transparency of the 50% transparent bitmaps. Don't they test these things before they release such a flagship open source application and confirm the FUD that open source is crap? But back to the presentation, thus in odp format, it's 34 slides presented in 5 minutes, created because markov convinced me in Frankfurt to do a talk don't mentioning the war. by Roland van Ipenburg http://www.xs4all.nl/~ipenburg/blog/posts/play/2009/03/26/dpw-2009-lightningtalk/
