Wales (Catching up)

In the beginning of july I was about one week camping in Wales. I planned to go one week earlier, but that monday was the day with the most rain in Wales with flooding and stuff. So I waited a bit and then booked a flight with KLM to Cardiff, and then went by train to Llandovery. Amsterdam - Cardiff is not a flight to Cardiff, it's the return flight for Welshmen who visited Amsterdam, but very convenient to get to Wales without the hassle of the Eurostar and the tube in London. Since the weather wasn't as hot as last time (i.e. raining) I managed to cover a lot more ground and even made it to the top of the Black Mountain. I also visited Brecon and the canal. A negative thing was that the almost last night one of the alu rods that holds up my tent snapped in the wind and after a quick repair I decided to head in the direction of Cardiff one day earlier. Which was probably a good decision because the heavy wind also blew a tree on the railroad tracks so if I had had that 45 minute delay a day later I would have missed my flight. But a night in Cardiff isn't bad. Cardiff Bay is cool, and spending the next morning in the Bute park just outside the Holiday Inn hotel is perfect. Too bad Shakespeare in the Castle was sold out.
