Took a couple of days off and went to Hamburg again. Not having planned the trip very well I found out the Hamburg marathon was planned that weekend, which meant the place was booked during the weekend and I had to slightly change the plan. Plan B was to move down the Elbe river to the aptly named island "Krautsand", but not before eating Scholle Finkenwerder art in my fave restaurant "Zur Elbkate" on the Oevelgoenner Hohlweg.
Krautsand has all the nautical elements making up a wonderful atmosphere. And the almost full moon was a nice addition to it. I didn't plan that full moon either, but it's something to keep in mind while planning. (The full moon on the snow in Interlaken also wasn't planned, but added something special.) While trying to figure out how to get back it turned out the boat to Hamburg isn't a bad option. In 65 minutes the Elbe-City-Jet takes you from Stadersand near Krautsand to St. Pauli, and from there it's no problem to take the Hochbahn to the Central Station.
