Visualizing Millions of Iran Tweets. What I'm
afraid of is that those same methods are used to
find terrists. Mostly ignoring the content of
messages because it's to complicated to do anything
with that and just focusing on the network. It like
searching for the car keys you lost using Google
because that's more convenient than actually going
outside. And once you show up somewhere in some
pretty picture visualizing some terrist network it
will be hard to convince some goons that when they
look at the actual - maybe sarcastic - content of
the messages their pretty picture is worthless. But
as long as they focus on filtering on Ahmadinejad
and forget محمود احمدی‌نژاد they will probably get
their ass kicked once in a while. So what have they
visualized? How a certain type of western media
professional gets all hyped up about something?
